This month we are asking YOU to participate! You may not be able grow a beard, but you can sponsor and now....this month you can vote!

WE NEED YOUR VOTES!!

{Here is what we would like you to do} 

Put the Beard Growers name, in the comments section of this post, of the person who you think has the most dramatic difference from their month 1 to month 2 picture.  To make it more fun I let the Beard Growers know they could theme it out and get creative to sway your voting. 

Please only vote once. If you're up for it post who you voted for to your Facebook and a link to the Our Beards of Hope page to continue to spread the word.

We continue to be amazed at how God is using people's talents and generosity to join us on the journey to bring our daughter home. Our initial plan was to get shirts made for the Beard Growers. Cameron Little from Ephraim Clothing offered his amazing skills to help us out...then his wife Alana, who founded Make Pie Not War "jewels for the radical lady", surprised us with a necklace as well!

Since the "big reveal" of the beard shirts for the Beard Growers others have inquired about getting one too. So now you can buy a shirt OR a necklace to help spread the story of God's heart for orphans.

We will be taking the first run of orders from

April 3rd to May 5th (Cinco de Mayo).

This is a preorder situation. So once the first run is over they print and ship!

Here are our month 1 progress photos!

Month one has come to a close as of March 15th! We are already seeing some gnarly beard growth. Dave's neck beard is totally grey and out of control {more to come on that in a future post}. We are also hearing cool story after cool story about Beard Growers having conversations involving God's heart for orphans... love it! Also guys have jumped on the team that we had not even met before this started and we are loving getting to know them through this. How awesome it will be to share, at some point, with our daughter the pics of all of the Beard Growers and list of Sponsors and how God used a bunch of Dudes growing beards to bring her home.

That's amazing for MONTH ONE!

We are praying for a GRAND TOTAL of $15,000. This will fully fund the rest of our adoption, which includes travel for all 6 of us to China and back.

We have been praying through and thinking about taking our kids on an exposure trip over the past few years. What better exposure than into the heart of China, to visit and see those in need and be able to do something about it. We are looking forward to processing God's heart for the least of these up close and personal, as a family, on this journey. We hope to continue to foster a love for God and people, created in His image, in each of them.

One of our 19 Beard Growers officially started!! Let me introduce you to a very special grower: Erin's dad, my father in-law, Michael O'Hare.  I am pleased that he gave the rest of us a head start because look at what is coming.  This guy is a pro at growing a beard and knows how to spread some cheer with it.  Thanks for adding a new cause to your growth this year.  Normally he starts to grow it the day after Easter, but for the sake of Beards of Hope he officially started 2 days ago.

Our Beards of Hope welcomes Tyler Kessler friend, and former student, of fellow Beard Grower Matt Abajian. Matt asked him if he would sponsor his beard and he responded by saying "how about I do one better and grow with the team"!!  Love it Tyler!  Tyler brings the total up to 19 growers.  Praying for 20, anybody interested in growing a beard to help us bring our girl home.
